Hu Tong Noodle House 胡同面馆, nestled in the heart of Duisburg at Hohe Str. 17, is a delightful sanctuary for lovers of authentic Asian cuisine, particularly those who have a special affinity for hand-pulled noodles. With a cozy and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant is the perfect spot for a casual dining experience that feels both warm and welcoming.
The star of the show at Hu Tong Noodle House is undoubtedly their freshly made noodles, which customers rave about for their delightful chewiness and satisfying texture. Imagine diving into a rich bowl of invigorating broth, perfectly complementing those tender strands of noodles that have been masterfully hand-pulled on-site. Ignatius Bong, a loyal patron, highlights the authenticity of the dishes, stating it's "a MUST TRY!!!" The freshness of the noodles makes for an experience that truly enchants the palate, particularly when served piping hot, allowing the full bouquet of flavors to emerge.
For those looking for a lighter option, Theodore Lu describes the broth as "nice and well-rounded," making it a refreshing choice, especially on a warm day. It's this thoughtful balance that sets Hu Tong apart from other noodle houses, particularly when craving a reprieve from the richness of traditional Japanese broths. Here, the culinary philosophy revolves around simplicity and quality, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine vibrantly.
Additionally, with various vegan options, there’s something for everyone in this food haven. Justyna Okrucińska enjoyed a hearty noodle dish and appreciated the effort to cater to dietary preferences, even if she wished for a few more vibrant vegetables to accompany her meal. This reflects the restaurant's commitment to inclusivity, welcoming diners from all walks of life.
Moreover, the overall dining experience is enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff, as noted by Chirag Ballani. A personal touch in service makes every visit special and adds to the charm of the establishment—making it feel less like a restaurant and more like a community gathering spot.
Whether you are a noodle aficionado or a casual diner, Hu Tong Noodle House promises not just a meal, but a comforting culinary experience bound to leave you pondering your next visit. With its openness to different tastes and dietary needs, alongside its delightful dishes, this restaurant stands as a testament to what authentic, thoughtfully crafted cuisine can accomplish. So, don’t hesitate—grab your friends, and discover a bowl of heartwarming goodness at Hu Tong Noodle House.

The broth was nice and well-rounded, a bit on the lighter side but it was refreshing on a hot day. The noodle being imperfect inspires confidende in their promise of the noodles being made in-house. A really welcome and appreciated break if you're tired of the richer broths from Japanese noodle restaurants.

In menu, there are few vegan options. I went with noodles and they were good, although I would prefer other vegetables than those few cut in cubicles. Nice place to get food.
